Aquaponics DC was founded in 2011 by Jessica Demoise, an environmental engineer living in Washington, DC. With most of the available information on aquaponics coming from growers in Western Austrailia, APDC’s goal is to adapt aquaponics to the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, with a focus on working within the constraints posed by an urban environment.
APDC provides design and consultation services for small to medium-scale aquaponics systems. Our goal is to adapt aquaponics to the Mid-Atlantic US, with a focus on working within urban environments.
